ITINERARY

Take a walk through the old town of Madrid. Discover in this walking tour the most emblematic buildings of the Renaissance and the Baroque of Madrid.

The historic center of Madrid is also known as Madrid de los Austrias (Habsburg), the dynasty that reigned in Spain until 1700. This reign began with Carlos I, who enriched the city with palaces and monuments. This was accentuated when Felipe II moved the seat of the court from Toledo to Madrid, becoming the capital of the kingdom of Spain to this day. The tour of the Renaissance and Baroque buildings of this time is perhaps one of the most picturesque and representative of Madrid and includes such representative places as the Plaza de Oriente where the Royal Palace is located, the Calle Mayor, the Plaza de la Villa (old Town Hall) and its surroundings.

Take a break at an emblematic café in this popular neighborhood and enjoy a drink courtesy of Julià Travel.
