1’ Day - Madrid
Is there any better plan for summer than to travel?
Pack your case and lets go!! Today our incredible tour around Europe in August – Great European Capitals – our adventure through Europe where you will get to know young people from all over the world and live unforgettable experiences.
After a transfer from the airport we will have a tour of the city to get our first image of Madrid.
We will begin in Madrid of the Austrias, a large zone of the Spanish capital, corresponding to the Medieval layout of the city, where we can find the famous Plaza Mayor, the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza de Oriente as well as the Royal Palace, the Gardens of Sabatini and the Cathedral of the Almudena.
2’ Day - Madrid
For today on the tour around Europe in August you can choose to have a few more hours discovering Madrid and its charms or you can choose of the the two optional activities that we offer: Escape to Toledo or an adrenaline filled day in the Warner Attraction Park.
Choosing to stay in Madrid? Great. There’s still lots of things to see!
During the day we recommend visiting Retiro Park, known by many as the “Central Park of Madrid”. Very close to there you will find the Atocha Train Station, where inside you can visit the 11M Monument, a cylindric structure that is 11 metres high, dedicated to the victims of the bombings in Madrid that happened in March 2004.
A short walk away are also other monuments like the Alcalá Gates of the Palace of Communications, nowadays HQ to the town hall and council, and without a doubt one of the most emblematic buildings of the city.
This afternoon/evening we recommend that you enjoy the summer heat that reigns over Madrid on one of the terraces of the Spanish Capitals.
- Day trip Toledo
- Fun day at the Warner Attraction Park
3’ Day - Madrid - Bus
After an intense few days enjoying the city of Madrid, we will have some free time this morning before we begin our journey to Paris and our 1 month trip of Europe, spending the night on a bus.
4’ Day - Paris
Whether you are in love or not, Paris is the city of love.
It’s going to be an intense day on our tour around Europe in August in the “Ville Lumiere”, so put your comfortable shoes on because it’s time to walk. We will start at the Notre Dame, the great Lady of Paris, and going through pont Neuf, we will admire Paris’ river, The Seine and we will pass by the museum that contains the most famous painting of all times, Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Of course, our tour will take us the most famous tower, the Eiffel Tower – the most representative icon of the French capital, which has become the worlds best-selling keychain.
5’ Day - Paris
Today on our tour around Europe in August you have Paris at your disposal.
Free day! The perfect day to visit the monuments you haven´t yet ticked off the list.
Now is the time to visit the Louvre to enjoy its long exhibitions and learn how to not wink at the Mona Lisa. If you prefer it, you can enjoy modern architecture and futuristic skyscrapers in the La Défense neighbourhood.
Would you prefer something more exotic or multicultural? There is a neighbourhood called Belleville, where Monsieur Malaussene used to live.
If you want a little but of Italy in Paris, you can visit the Luxembourg Gardens, which Maria di Medici commissioned, and on the way you can see the Patheon, the Sorbonne (the best university in Paris) and wander through the Latin Quarter and its hundreds of bars.
If that isn´t enough, recharge your batteries ready for an unforgettable night in Paris. How about going to see the Sacre Coeur in Montmatre and walking a little to Pigalle, where Moulin Rouge can be found.
Do you want to know why its called the City of Lights? Well if you still have energy, you can participate in our bus tour by night.
- Paris by Night
6’ Day - Paris - Bruges - Brussels
Have a croissant as we head towards to our bus, this time heading for Belgium.
We will start the day visiting the precious city of Bruges, which is the most visited city of Belgium, in front of the capital, Brussels, where we will arrive later on.
Brussels, despite being a modern city and not that big, is the capital of Belgium and all of Europe. This decision was made due to its central position and the fact it was one of the few countries that belonged to the union of countries that formed the nucleus of todays European Union.
Many international organisations, such as the EEC and the European Parliament, are headquartered here. That’s why it’s easy to see more diplomats on the street and planes flying over the city.
Tonight on the most complete trip of Europe in summer, prepare yourself to enjoy one of the prettiest squares of Europe… which looks even prettier after a couple of Belgian beers.
7’ Day - Amsterdam - Berlin
Today on our trip we will head to our next destination: and we´ll arrive in Amsterdam! We will leave the suitcases and after a quick rest we will go straight to the centre, to get to know one of the most liberal cities in the world, and its famous Red Light District.
We will give you the option of having a boat tour through the canals to get a feel for city from its most characteristic side (and saving you a few kilometers walking!), and if you wish you can visit the famous Anne Frank Museum, an alternative museum showing the experience of a young Dutch girl throughout the Second World War, whose diary has been read by millions of people.
- Boat tour through the canals
- Entry into Anne Frank´s Museum
8’ Day - Amsterdam
Today on our tour around Europe in August we will offer you two options, and you have to choose! You can dedicate the whole day to enjoy Amsterdam and its unique architecture, with houses so tall and thin that they defy the laws of gravity, or you can join any of our optional activities.
The first of these will be an excursion in the morning to Zaanse Schans, known as the “Windmill Town”, described as an open air museum where they will teach us the process of making the famous Dutch clogs and their typical cheese. In the afternoon we offer you entry to the Heineken Experience – a fun guided visit to the factory of one of the most famous beers in the world, where later you will have the opportunity to try a couple of their beers.
Other recommendations for the day are to have a walk to the Van Gogh Museum, the Rjyksmuseum, the Flemish museum of Rembrandt, or if your prefer diamonds, there is also a museum dedicated to the “forever stone”.
- Heineken Experience
- Visit the Dutch Mills, Zaanse Schans
9’ Day - Berlin
Today we say goodbye to the most liberal city in the world, to reach our next destination on tour around Europe in August – Berlin!
Berlin, after being almost completely destroyed throughout World War II, has had to reinvent itself and achieved it mostly from 1989, following the fall of the Berlin Wall and the unification of the west and east side of the city. Since then, because of the low cost of life, it has attracted urban artists from all over Europe, and that is why today it is possible to admire the best graffiti on the continent.
Recharge your batteries, take a walk through the streets of the German capital or have some cold beers in one of the countless breweries the city offers.
10’ Day - Berlin
“Ich bin ein Berliner”, which means “I am a Berliner” is what JFK said in 1963 to show support to the people who were separated from their families due to the construction of the Berlin wall. Today its time for you to repeat the phrase and spend a day as a true Berliner.
Today on our Europe trip in summer you will be able to choose whether you want to spend the day with us learning more about the famous landmarks of Berlin, such as the Reichstag, the German Parliament, the Brandenburg Gate and the famous Holocaust monument, the work of Heisman.
- Walking Tour of Berlin with local professional guide
